Liz Peek: DSA “Silver Spoon” Socialists “Just Not Ready for Primetime”

  |   By Liz Peek Staff

Liz Peek joined Fox Business’ The Bottom Line with Brian Brenberg to take apart the manufactured “working class” personas of the latest crop of DSA-backed candidates — and she wasn’t buying any of it.

Peek pointed to a pattern across the field of new socialist candidates — from Zoran Mamdani to Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed to Maine’s Graham Platner, whose “commercial lobsterman” backstory fell apart under scrutiny — arguing they share “the same kind of cookie cutter background” of privilege dressed up as working-class authenticity.

“It’s all kind of bogus and make believe,” Peek said. “They’re just not ready for primetime.”

She said the deeper problem is that these candidates are “rolling out policies that are founded on no business experience, no real life experience” — and predicted their appeal stays limited to “weirdo environments like New York City.”
