Fox News contributor Liz Peek joined Kevin Corke on Fox News to discuss far-left Twitch streamer Hasan Piker’s growing influence within the Democratic Party and what it reveals about Democrats’ desperate bid to win back young male voters.
Piker, a self-described Marxist who lives in a $3 million townhouse and makes millions annually from inflammatory commentary, has become a flashpoint in the party. Despite a history of extreme remarks — including saying “America deserved 9/11” and calling for violence against capitalists — Democrats have embraced him because of his appeal to the young male voters who shifted decisively toward President Trump in 2024.
“Democrats really need young male voters,” Peek explained. “That’s the group that most energetically moved over to the Donald Trump column and they want them back. So here’s a guy who works out, he’s willing to say outrageous things, he’s on Twitch… and young men are really eating it up. That is why the Democrats will not abandon this guy, even if he says horrible things that most people don’t like.”
Peek noted that Piker has recently demanded that Democrats defend him publicly, telling his audience, “You have to literally at some point defend me. That requires you at some point to basically take the L a little bit.”
She pointed out the hypocrisy of Piker now suing CNN and other outlets, claiming his inflammatory clips were taken out of context. “Out of context means he now comes back and says, oh, I didn’t mean any of that stuff. I was just joking,” Peek said. “Unfortunately, a whole bunch of people on the left tend to walk back and try to erase things that they said a year ago, six months ago. Guess what, folks? That isn’t happening. We know what you say. We know what you believe.”
Peek concluded that Democrats face a stark choice: “They can go after young male voters or they can have some sort of moral code. Right now, it’s not clear that they do.”
She also suggested that the best Republican strategy would be to simply ignore Piker, noting that his enormous following would eventually get bored and move on to the next provocateur.
