ABC News Fires Correspondent Terry Moran Following Controversial Post

Terry Moran, a longtime correspondent for ABC News, has been released from the network.

The move comes two days after Moran was suspended for a social media post in which he referred to White House adviser Stephen Miller as a “world-class hater.” The post, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and later deleted, was deemed a violation of the network’s editorial standards.

In a statement, an ABC News spokesperson said, “We have reached the end of our agreement with Terry Moran, and in light of his recent post — which clearly violated ABC News policies — we have decided not to renew his contract. At ABC News, we uphold the highest standards of objectivity, fairness, and professionalism, and we remain committed to delivering trusted, impartial journalism.”

Moran had served as ABC’s senior national correspondent and was a veteran presence at the network.
