Liz Peek slammed New York Governor Kathy Hochul for what she called a politically “inept” and “incredible” endorsement of socialist Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani — a figure she described as a “Marxist,” “anti-Semitic,” and “pro–global intifada.” Peek argued Hochul only backed Mamdani out of fear of a primary challenge from her own left flank, including her lieutenant governor Antonio Delgado and possibly Attorney General Tish James. Peek ridiculed Hochul for failing to secure Mamdani’s reciprocal endorsement, calling it “a waste” that made her “look like an idiot.” She also blasted Hochul’s tone-deaf participation in Mamdani’s “tax the rich” rally, pointing out that New York’s budget depends heavily on high-income earners who are already fleeing the state.

Later in the discussion, Peek warned that Mamdani’s populist message of “affordability” is resonating with younger, affluent New Yorkers disillusioned with the system — but said his proposed solutions are “completely wrong.” She argued that Democrat policies, from renewable energy mandates to anti-development housing stances, are fueling New York’s cost-of-living crisis, not solving it. Peek concluded that while Mamdani has cleverly tapped into real frustrations, he is ultimately “a complete con man,” offering feel-good socialist rhetoric that will only deepen the state’s affordability problems.
